We were excited to welcome back former pupils from the Class of 1979 to celebrate their 40 year reunion which took place at Culford School on Saturday 11 May.
Many thanks to Camilla Veale (1975-1979) and Martin Hayman (1977-1979) who helped to organise the event, as well as Robert Howlett (1972-1979) who produced a wonderful commemoration booklet for the day.
The weather didn’t quite make its mind up until the afternoon which prompted a couple of episodes of running in and outdoors to either soak up the sun or avoid the rain. Guests were treated to a tour of the School grounds followed by a delicious 3 course meal in the beautiful Georgian Red Room.
John Humphries lead a quiz that required guests to delve into their memory banks to answer questions such as “which part of the Park did Tony Prain park his car on one cold occasion?” (On the island in the lake.) There were speeches and gifts galore, we hope everyone left full of new happy memories… as well as prosecco.
