Heritage Open Day - Saturday 14 September 2019

Every September some 40,000 volunteers across England organise 5,000 events to celebrate our fantastic history and culture. It's your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – all of which are FREE to explore.

On Saturday 14 September, you can visit Culford School with its grand reception rooms and view the formal gardens and Humphry Repton designed landscape, including the unique single span iron bridge. Learn about the people who lived in the Hall from the 1600s to 1900s and about the thriving school which now occupies the site. Enjoy tea, coffee and cake for a small charge afterwards. St Mary’s Church will also be open.

Doors open from 14.00 with the tour departing at 14.30 and lasting for approximately 1¼ hours. Places are free but must be pre-booked c/oThe Apex, Charter Square, Bury St Edmunds.
