We would like to congratulate Alicia Weston BEM FRSA (1981-1988) on being awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) for her services to the community in London. Alicia is the Founding Director of Bags of Taste, an organisation that aims to revolutionise the diets of those experiencing, or travelling towards food poverty by teaching them how to create healthy, tasty home-cooked food on a budget. To date Bags of Taste has taught over 2,500 students in 11 locations and provided over 38,000 meals! Alicia has wealth of experience in the economic and charitable sectors having previously worked in The City and volunteered with the homeless charity Crisis.
