About the Prep Parents' Association
The Prep School Parents’ Association supports the Prep School with a programme of social and fundraising events for the benefit of our children, parents and local charities. The Headmaster and staff actively support our meetings and activities.
Annual highlights include Firework Night, the Christmas Fayre, Easter Tombola and the Summer Fete. As well as being enjoyable events for both parents and children, these activities provide valuable funds, enabling us to purchase additional equipment for the children and school, and giving us the opportunity to contribute to selected charities.
In the year 2015/16 to date we have been delighted to provide:
- Staging, lighting and curtains in Cadogan Hall
- New playground equipment
- A new Prep School marquee
- An artefacts display cabinet in the History Department
- Materials for the new Prep School Eco Garden
- A memorial bench
- A donation of £1,000 to Suffolk Community Foundation
Members of the Parents' Association
The Prep School Parents’ Association Committee is made up of parent and staff volunteers, elected annually, and usually serving September-September, in line with the academic year. We also have Class Representatives, who act informally as a point of contact for the parents of children in each form class, helping to coordinate and facilitate class specific events, for example, organising a coffee morning to welcome new parents to the School. If you would like to serve on the Committee or act as a Class Representative, please contact us.
