Culford School is registered with the Information Commissioner under the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998. Culford School, The Old Culfordians' Association and The Culford School Foundation will ensure that:

• Personal data will be processed fairly and lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
• Personal data is used only for the legitimate interests of Culford School, The Old Culfordians'  Association or The Culford School Foundation, and does not prejudice the rights and freedoms of the individual in question in any way.
• Culford School and its associated organisations will not process sensitive personal information without the prior consent of the individual.
• On receipt of a request in writing addressed to the Headmaster from the subject of the data, a hard copy of all data held on that individual will be made available, other than that subject to statutory exemptions.
• Information processed is accurate, relevant,  current, up-to-date and not excessive.
• Personal data will not be kept longer than is necessary for the purposes stated.*
