Our School Archivist Lesley Robinson is always on the hunt for new additions for the archive. In particular we would like to trace the whereabouts of the Head Girl badge of the East Anglian School for Girls. It was worn by each succeeding Head Girl of Culford School, as a reminder of the original Girls’ School in Bury St Edmunds, and is made of sterling silver with the legend ‘EAS’ in blue enamel in flowery initials. We are most interested in old postcards of Culford School, school reports, blue books from 1938 to 1958, back issues of East Anglian Record/The Culfordian from 1894 onwards, and school blazers with the school badge on from different decades.
Archive History Project Memories are the most important part of the Culford School Archive. If you have memories of your time at Culford School or stories to share please fill in our questionnaire.
