What is your role at Culford?
I am the Foundation Consultant which means that assist in looking after our alumni and the Foundation office.
What did you do before you came to Culford?
My early career was as a Director of a media consultancy in London and as a freelance marketing consultant when our son was very small. Before my husband became the Headmaster at Culford, I was the Marketing and Fundraising Director of a trade benevolent charity, Retail Trust. I joined Culford as an employee about 18 months after we arrived, as the school's Marketing and Foundation Director.
What is your favourite piece of music, novel or artist?
I have quite a wide taste in music but I suppose my favourite artist would have to be the legendary blues, folk and funk singer-songwriter, the late, great John Martyn. I love detective fiction and also confess to a recent fad on healthy eating and wellbeing books; probably not unrelated to a brewing mid-life crisis....
What is the best thing about working at Culford?
The people and the place. We live and work in a glorious setting surrounded by intelligent, entertaining and talented people who are very passionate about what they do; our colleagues, pupils, parents and alumni make Culford a very special place. I feel very privileged to be here.
What are your interests outside School?
I love travelling and have yet to tick off several important places on my "Must Go See" list: the Pyramids, Jamaica, the Florida Keys and the Polynesian islands en-route to Australia. I also enjoy walking, especially with our chocolate labrador and (very naughty) terrier, and, of course, spending time with my family and escaping when we can to our cottage in North Norfolk.
