Swimming
Culford has an outstanding 6 lane 25m heated indoor pool and pupils at the school will develop their swimming and aquatic skill through termly swimming lessons during the Core Physical Education Curriculum. Non-swimmers will receive 1:1 tuition until they are competent and confident to join an appropriate school group. Culford follows the ASA National plan for teaching swimming which takes the non-swimmer on a journey, from the first splash, to developing confidence and competence in the water. It’s a multi-skill programme for swimmers to learn how to swim and be proficient in the water and for them to then choose to participate in any aquatic sports they may wish.

| Squad Training | Tuesday 3.50pm – 5.15pm L3 & U3 (Years 7 & 8) & Senior School |
The School has an excellent partnership with West Suffolk Swimming Club (WSSC), a national standard club that provides an outstanding pathway for our competitive swimmers and coaching of the highest standard. The Club has a dedicated and highly qualified team of coaches who will help Culford swimmers to integrate into appropriate training sessions and to improve their stroke and stamina in preparation for competition.
Membership of the Culford competitive swim programme includes the ASA registration fee which allows pupils to compete in any regional, County or local meeting.
