Activities
We are proud of the vibrant and broad activities programme that is an integral part of school life. The programme splits broadly into:
• Creative and performing arts
• Competitive Sports
• Music
• Academic Societies
• Recreational Sports & hobbies
• Outdoor & Adventurous activity
• CCF, Service & C.A.T.S.
Each area of the programme has a designated day in the week to allow as much choice as much as possible. In addition to two sessions of Games (major competitive sports plus other sporting activities such as fitness, running, swimming, basketball, football, tennis, badminton, volleyball and lacrosse), all students in Year 11 and above choose two evening activities a week - or more if you wish and have the time!
Activities include everything from bee keeping and fencing through to scuba diving and forensic science. Specific Sixth Form clubs include: Medical Society (for those especially interested in a career in medicine), Pschology Society, Economics Clinic, Historical Film Club, the Charity Fashion Show Committee and Sailing.
The Sixth Form are also given the opportunity and support to lead in Activities and if there is an activity not currently running which you would like to start, you will be encouraged and supported to make it happen!
