Candidates who show sufficient potential are invited to sit scholarship exams.
Candidates sit papers in a variety of subjects depending on age, some past papers are available on request.
Candidates are also interviewed by the Headmaster or other senior colleagues as part of the selection process.
The Headmaster's Foundation Scholarship for exceptional academic performance, which is worth up to 50% of tuition fees. Up to four other Academic Scholarships may be awarded which are worth up to 25% of tuition fees. Exhibitions are worth up to 10% of tuition fees.

The year-round programme which brings outstanding academics and fascinating speakers to Culford School. This year's theme is 'Language and ...' and includes Dr Arik Kershenbaum, Prof Simon Horobin and Head of English Alexia Glasswell.
