Culford Sports Scholars receive an Individual Sports Programme to support their aspirations by developing their athletic, sporting, and academic potential. In exceptional circumstances, a Sports Scholarship may carry a 10% remission of tuition fees.

Availability

These awards are available to current or new pupils at Year 7 (Lower Third), Year 9 (Fourth Form) and Year 12 (Lower Sixth), who show a high level of ability across Culford’s sports, or sometimes an exceptional ability in one. Potential, attitude and determination are as important as accomplishment.

Scholarship Selection

Candidates will be invited for an assessment day which will involve:

• Technical and tactical skills in their chosen sports. Profiling in speed, change of direction and power.

• Scenario based group discussions about balancing sport and academics.

New pupils entering Culford Senior School may be assessed for this award throughout the academic year, subject to funding and availability.
