On Saturday 11 September, Culford 1st XI hosted the Old Culfordians for a friendly match on the newly re-laid San Field pitch.

Culford started the game strong, with Imogen C scoring the first goal. She showed a brilliant change of pace around the goalkeeper, finishing with a smart reverse stick finish. A second goal followed shortly after, when Louisa G scored after being on the pitch for a matter of seconds; carrying to the top right of the D and smashing the ball into the net.

The OC’s responded with their first goal of the game, but before the first half came to a close, Arabella S scored Culford's third goal.

As the second half commenced, the OC’s came back with two quick-fire goals, settling the score to an even 3-3.

Throughout the second half, Culford bounced back with Josie G landing herself a place on the score sheet, changing the score to 4-3.

The game ended fittingly as Louisa G seized her opportunity with another brilliant goal from the top right of the D, ending the match with a final score of 5-3 to Culford.

Thank you to Ella Dowling OC (2006-2017) for organising the OC team; and to Emma Watson OC (2011-2016) for bringing along delicious homemade cakes, baked by her company Phat Club.
