Fees for Spring and Summer term 2025
VAT is applicable from Reception Year and is included in the below figures.
Scholarships, Exhibitioners and Bursaries
Culford has a longstanding tradition of offering Scholarships, which are worth up to 10% of fees, to recognise and encourage pupils who show real talent and potential.
Most scholarship examinations and assessments take place in January each year, for entry to the school in the following September; Sixth Form scholarships take place in November. There are scholarships for academic subjects and the arts, as well as for individual sports which allow children to access our high performance programme. There are also all-rounder and general sports scholarships.
Culford offers financial assistance in the form of bursaries to assist children who may not be able to attend the school without help. Bursaries are always awarded privately and may augment the value of a scholarship or exhibition award. Awards are means tested and are reviewed annually.
Services Fees
Forces personnel in receipt of the MOD Continuity of Education Allowance are normally automatically awarded a generous Culford Services Allowance. Typically, this means that qualifying parents will only be required to pay between 10% and 15% of the annual boarding fees, once the MOD’s contribution is taken into account.
Interest Charges
The Governors reserve the right to vary the level of interest charged on overdue accounts. Such interest charge is without prejudice to the Governors' right to withdraw a place from any pupil whose fees are not paid in full by the first day of the following term.
If you do not make payment to the School by the due date for payment we may charge interest to you on the overdue amount at the rate of 3 per cent a year above the base rate from time to time of the Bank of England.
Fees in Advance
Culford offers a way for parents to pay school fees in advance, where the cost of independent education can be reduced by making an advanced lump sum payment.
