Culford School

Trips and Tours

Although Culford School makes an excellent base for learning, with beautiful grounds and outstanding facilities, pupils benefit from travelling outside the classroom for educational trips and sporting tours. The Sixth Form is also especially proud of its annual charitable trip to Malawi.

Educational Trips

Educational trips are organised by Heads of Department and many are designed to supplement coursework for A Level or spark interest in particular academic areas.

Recent trips have included a Physics Trip to the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland, a Geography trip to Iceland, a Sixth Form trip to Westminster to hear MPs speak, an Art and Design trip to London’s galleries and a Drama trip to the National Theatre. Culford School runs exciting scuba trips during the year for pupils to gain their scuba diving qualifications, including travelling to Tenerife during autumn half term.

As part of the activities schedule, Sixth Formers who board also enjoy fun trips to London and Cambridge.

Sporting Tours

Culford’s best sporting teams and players frequently travel abroad for training camps and competitive fixtures. The tennis programme has annual training at La Manga Club in Spain, as well as traveling all over the world to support our pupils in competitive tennis events. In August 2022, our boys U18 team will be competing in the World Schools Tennis Finals.

Our rugby programme has toured Italy and Portugal and our hockey programme has most recently been to Bilbao, Spain.
