Welcome from the Head of Sixth Form
To make children ready for life means developing them into flexible, innovative, dynamic and resilient young adults. The first three are key values in a world in which change is the only constant; and young adults also need to learn resilience as failures and setbacks sometimes lead to our greatest successes.
Scholarship Information
Culford has a longstanding tradition of offering Scholarships, which are worth up to 25% of fees, and Exhibitions, which are smaller awards worth up to 10% of fees, to recognise and encourage pupils who show real talent and potential.

Freshers' Week
Sixth formers enjoy a high degree of independence and freedom. From the moment pupils join us and embark on their Freshers’ Week Adventure, it is obvious that this is not an ordinary school. Freshers’ Week ensures that by the end of just seven days everyone has bonded as a year group, as well as begun a development journey as you start to test your leadership and teamwork skills. Even if you have never done this before, we can assure you that you will have a great time, learn new skills and, as importantly, make new friends too.
A Level Subjects Choices
The Sixth Form programme at Culford offers you combinations of A Level subjects to study which will prepare you for just about any degree course. You will have a considerable amount of freedom to decide which subjects you would like to study from the broad range on offer.
At Culford, students truly discover how to learn independently. Using study skills seminars and workshops you will be helped to manage your work effectively, participate in lively discussion, work within teams and reflect on successes and failures. You will learn skills that will help you not just at school, but also when you reach university and the workplace.
Gifted & Talented Programme
To further enrich the academic experience at Culford we operate a year-round, Scholars’ and Gifted & Talented Programme. This sees a series of academics and other experts in their field come to Culford to address pupils on a particular theme. Recent themes have included politics and languages and give pupils the chance to gain even greater insight and passions for their chosen areas of study.
Paddy and Scott's café
Opened in September 2015, the modern Paddy and Scott’s café at Culford School is located in the Sports and Tennis Centre and is for the use of parents, Sixth Form pupils and Sports and Tennis Centre members.
Culford Sixth Formers have exclusive use of Paddy and Scott’s café from 10.30am-3.00pm every week day. In the style of a university campus, Sixth Formers use it as a place for meeting socially, discussing work projects and enjoying a light lunch, or treating themselves to a coffee and piece of cake.
At lunchtime Sixth Formers can enjoy soup, paninis, sandwiches, wraps, salads and fruit.
