Culford School

Enrichment Programme

In the Sixth Form, your learning will extend far beyond the classroom. The skills you learn in our dedicated Enrichment Programme will support your studies and well-being, as well as help to prepare you for life after school.

Careers Lunches

Careers Lunches happen periodically throughout the term. The Head of Sixth Form invites experts from various industries to have an informal lunch with Sixth Formers who are interesting in studying law, medicine, psychology and engineering, to mention a few. These take place on the Sixth Form mezzanine in the library.

School Leadership

Halfway through their Lower Sixth year, students can apply to be Prefects. Prefects chosen include Head Boy and Girl, Deputy Head Boy and Girl, Head of Houses and House Captains. With the privilege of being a prefect, comes increased responsibility, as these students represent the school at Open Days and other key events.

As well as Prefect roles, all Sixth Formers are encouraged to develop leadership skills by running clubs and societies for other pupils and by mentoring pupils lower down the school. There are also many opportunities to lead the running of charity events such as fashion shows and concerts.

Wellbeing Conference

Sixth Formers take part in a Wellbeing Conference once a year. This conference is designed to help students understand the real benefits of wellbeing in young people in the short and long term, encouraging them to make this a part of their lives while still at Culford, and when they move on to university and employment.
